Bathing Optional

While surfing the net to entertain myself while I "work" I came across an article about Jessica Simpson where she speaks about her overall hygiene. Apparently Jessica brushes her teeth "maybe three times a week, because she doesn't like feeling slippery (um..clean?)." She also only washes her hair about 2 or 3 times a month, she "waits until it smells."

Now my initial thought about this whole bathing minimalist was a giant ew. But as I thought more about it, I know a couple of cousins who often find bathing to be a bit of a hassle. And if we could go a few weeks without a good coif washing (we don't agree with the whole smelly bit), we would. Don't get me wrong, we love to be clean but being able to go weeks without hair washing, leg shaving and other girl-related annoyances would be superb.

JP

P.S. Think what you will but Jessica Simpson, I salute your bathing boycott!

When I Grow Up...

I want to be a hot skinny blonde girl who lives on the beach and eats nachos and burgers all day. Also, I would like to have a vintage Broach collection. Oh I can't wait! What do you want to be when you grow up JP?

Confession Corner

I ate a piece of paper to curb my chocolate craving. Don't tell anyone. But it was just the corner, and you know I had to do something to resist that KitKat that was seriously staring at me. I regret nothing. Perhaps JP is right, I should just keep a small pile of paper squares in my desk drawer in case of emergencies. Besides, not everyone has access to teaspoons of sand like they use to curb hunger pains on Glee.

The Maxi Skirt.

The Maxi Skirt. Much like the Maxi dress of JE's dreams. Loved by designers but alas, another trend I fear that I cannot pull off. On my current bod this dress would look like some sort of tent or perhaps one of those parachutes for children to play under (and we don't want that happening). I may have to sit this one out. When do I get a new style to play with?

JP

Oh Hello There!

How does one put into words a love they feel so strong? This FCUK SS2010 frill dress would be the perf outfit for my birthday, but alas! My pocket book simply could not afford it! But one day my love. You and I will be as one.

Ding Dong the Witch is Dead!

The 'witch' (aka my roommate's girlfriend) will never come back to the house again. Roommate is moving out, therefore I won't have to see his witchy girlfriend anymore! As long as she stays a two block radius away from the house, everything will be just peachy in Oz (aka my house). If not I may have to hire some flying monkeys to carry her back to where she came from...well around here it would be more likely to find giant squirrels, but either will do the trick!

I scream for icecream!!!

All I want is Marble Slab. This diet is killing me.

Side note: Down 10 lbs. Depriving myself of life's pleasures is paying off.

JP

Foreshadowing?

Girl needs help!

JE

I am considering a face/body transplant.

Conjuring up some fashion magic.

This twenty-year-old, Parisian actress, best known for her role as Hermione Granger in the world wide Harry Potter phenomenon, is taking the fashion world by storm and we have noticed! From being asked to be the face of Burberry for their Autumn/Winter campaign in 2009 and the Spring/Summer 2010 campaign to gracing the cover of numerous fashion magazines, Emma Watson is widely respected for the support she has given the British Fashion Industry.

She is hot. She is classy. And she knows her fashion. Love it.

Movie Flashback: Romy and Michele's High School Reunion

"You know, even though I had to wear that stupid back brace and you were kind of fat, we were still totally cutting edge".

"You look so good with blond hair and black roots its like not even funny".

"Remember the prom? You got so thin by then"
"Oh, I know. I was so lucky getting mono. That was like the best diet ever".

"I've been killing myself for eight days and I gained a pound"
"That's impossible. Did you deduct sixteen pounds for your shoes?"

CLBS

CLBS. It effects many, many people all over the world. It is traumatic and life changing. I too, have been effected personally by CLBS, and have found it difficult to go about my day to day life as I did prior to having CLBS. And FYI for the lucky few who may not have ever experienced this and therefore do not know what the acronym stands for....

Courtney Love Bang Syndrome. Please, if you or someone dear to you is suffering from CLBS like I am, do not attempt to remedy the situation yourself. Find the nearest hair care professional to learn more about what can be done to help you.

And remember ladies, you don't have to go through this alone. A small french braid in the front may hide the bangs, but the pain experienced from CLBS is much harder to hide.

A place to call my own...

AF and I are going to the bank on Saturday and officially starting our hunt for the perfect home. While growing up, you invision yourself in a storybook house, like this...

And then you grow up a bit, your tastes change, and you decide that you want to live with a prince in something like this...

But then again you grow up, finish school and realize all you can afford is this...

So in all reality, although my dream house is this...

I will probably end up living in this...

I'll keep you posted.

Plastic People

Ok, so I know it is a bit cliche to talk about this. But I am still flabbergasted every time I see Heidi Montag and her new (fake) everthing. How could someone go from this:

To This!!

I mean, I know I don't live in L.A. and that I too am trying to look my best, but at least I am getting healthy in order to achieve my goals.

Plastic. Enough said.

Style Muse: Ashely Olsen

Ya, that's right. I frickin' love Ashely Olson. Her style is so boho it's not even funny. She loves the messy hair and baggy clothes, but always pairs her outfit with something uber fabulous, like a Birken bag or a funky Chanel head band. And FYI Ash, MK totally holds you back. Ditch the sack a bones and come drink on my patio avec moi!

Homebody

Sometimes it's just nice to stay at home, ya know?

All I want for summer...

Ok, so after reading JE's summer wishlist, I decided to creat one of my own!

Floral prints. I only own one floral print skirt and feel I need to expand my florals with a shirt or dress (or 12).

A new, neutral bag. Slouch, shoulder bags are very in and we all know my dilemma with neutrals. I think the best way for my to sneak into this trend is with a fabulous purse (probably a lot better than just walking around nude).

Luscious locks. This may be pushing it for a wishlist. But by the end of the summer I hope to have glorious, glowing locks that can blow in the autumn breeze. Doesn't that sound marvelously romantic?

My favorite trend of the season: bright graphic patterns. Shorts, tops, dresses..I can't get enough!

Ripped boyfriend jeans. Comfortable, stylish, perfect. Success: I purchased a pair of these on the weekend.

Reebok Easytone. I need a new pair of running shoes so why not tone my legs while I'm at it!

My wishlist will grow as the pounds fall off, but as of right now, this is it!
